What Could Be The Reason For Tightness And Heaviness In Chest, Tightness In Throat Causing Difficulty In Breathing Considering No Asthma And Heart Issues?

hi, I ve been having tightness and heaviness in chest and tightness in the throat, also having some diffultculty taking deep breath. been to the er and had blood test and x-ray done, no sign of having heart tact. they said I don t have asthma. going to have stress test soon but want to know why am I having these problem? been having these systems for over 3 months but have been getting worst. my thyroid a little high and my dr. reduce my meds. had two thirds of my thyroid taking out in 1981, do you think it could be my thyroid causing my systems. little scary not knowing what wrong.

HI,
The tightness of chest & tightness of throat causing breathing difficulty may be due to -
-over exertion.
- sevire anemia
- Allergy leading to broncho spasm & eosinophillia,leading to respiratory problem you have.
- Anxity/depression may lead to the breathing difficulty.
- thyroid /adrenal problems usually go hand in hand leading to shallow breathing.
- heart disease can not be excluded by Xray or blood testing. IT has effect on respiration too.
You can take help of your doctor ( endocrinologist/psychiatrist/ heart specialist)to evaluate the condition.
