What Could Be The Remedy For Recurring Fever In A Child, Given Injectable And Oral Antibiotics?
hi.. my 5 1/2 years old daughter was dignosed with pneumania 5days ago..she had fever ranging 101 to 102.5 fir two days..she was admitted in hospital 5days ago and almost recoveted 2days ago but again from last two days her fever started again ranging 100.5 ti 102...she was given injectabke antibiotics and oral antibiotic too...can any one help regarding reason of rwcurring fevet and any remedy please.....
Hello Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Either antibiotics are wrong or diagnosis is not correct. Since all in all your daughter is having fever from last 7 days . So fever may be due to . 1 Malaria , get in blood slide for malarial parasite. 2 Typhoid fever , get in blood for Widal test or serology test for confirmation. 3 Jaundice is also a main cause of fever low grade ( 101*F),get in serum bilirubin level , sgot, sgpt , hepatitis. 4 For pneumonia get in X ray chest whether it resolved or not . As fever recurs so in my opinion this is not a case of pneumonia or treatment was not correct . In my opinion consult another paed doctor and get his opinion as mentioned . Good luck. Dr. HET
