What Could Be The Remedy For The Arthritis In Hip And The Pain From The Groin Area Goes Down To Different Parts Of Legs And Had Steroids With No Relief?
I was diognoised with arthiritis in my hip. There is quitealot of pain in the groin area when I start to stand and it at times goes ddown the inside of my leg or different parts on the front of my leg . My knee has also gotten involved and fells like it won't hold me up. I recieved a steroied shot to deaden the nerve but no success. Whats next?
Hello As you were having arthritis ( in hip joint) and got steroid shot . The steroid is not a treatment but only for temporary relief. As you mentioned that pain has spread to knee and also in legs . In my opinion get in blood for uric acid examination and also get in blood for Rheumatic factor . After these tests also get in blood for calcium level for osteoporosis . As you are not getting relief and disease is not under control so consult an Orthopedic Surgeon and get his opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
