Hi

The kind of skin lesion that you have can be an eczematous skin lesion.
The site that you have mentioned which is the knee is a common site which is prone to regular friction. As a result, some sort of thickening of skin and development of skin changes is very common in this area.
You need to make sure that you prevent any further friction or trauma to the area.
Regular use of good moisturizers can be of help to you.
