What Could Be Wrong If Having Severe Stomach Cramps, Numbness In Limbs And Mouth Drew Up?

my son went to the emergency room last weekend due to severe stomach cramp and then his hands and legs went numb and his mouth drew up (like he was puckering) what could be wrong? He is having tummy troubles already and is scheduled for a colonoscopy next week, he is 21.
