What Could Be Wrong If Knee Hurts And Pops Continuously After Mowing Yard?

I hurt my knee yesterday while mowing my yard. I stopped to turn the mower and felt my left knee pop. It was followed by some pretty serious pain and is numb to the touch on the left side of said knee. This morning it is extremely painful and it hurts to walk and feels like its going to buckle when i try to walk. But my knee is not swollen at all. When I put my hand on the left side of my knee and slowly extend it forwards and backwards I can feel it popping continuously. This of course hurts like hell. Please explain whats wrong.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a ligament or tendon related problem.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
