What Could Blood Stools With Burning Anus Suggest?

When I have a bowel movement, I notice blood on the toilet paper, and very seldom in the stools. I have a stinging pain, and a almost burning pain around the anus. It takes a while to go away, but it itches, and sometimes hurts also while I am in the shower.

Hello,

Blood in Stool and pain during defecation may be caused by:
1. Hemorrhoids
2. Fissure
3. Fistula
4. Dysentery
5. Colitis et cetera

Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food, alcohol, smoking, and caffeine drinks. Take a high fiber diet, do regular exercise, and drink of plenty of liquid every day.

If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
