What Could Bloody Urine During Viral Stomach Disorder Suggest?

Hi, I am a 30-year-old female, I have been suffering from a viral stomach disorder for the last 3 days, today I did a routine urine dip-test and everything else was normal, but the results for blood and protein. For blood I got Hemolysis+10 and slight traces of protein. I am breastfeeding and I have an 8-month-old baby. Until now I did not get my period back. Should I worry about the blood in my urine?

Hello,

As there is 8 months of delivery, there can be coming period (mimicking blood in urine) or urinary tract infection.

We recommend you to:
- Consume plenty of liquids
- Cranberry sachet once daily in a glass of drinking water
- If blood in urine persists after 48 hours, take a urine culture report for further management

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
