What Could Bumps On The Anus Suggest?

I have a bump that is going into my anus. It popped up a few days ago. It is not painful, but feels like I have a piece of paper stuck up there. I tried to pop and I did not have any luck. I have also be using Prep H hoping that it will make it go away. Should I go to the doctor?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, you should, it could be a haemorrhoid or a perianal abscess if it is/was very tender. Incision under general anaesthesia may be necessary, but at least, you need someone to inspect the area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
