What Could Cause Colitis And High Platelets With Diarrhea After Having C-diff?
Dear Doctor, My 69 year old sister had c-diff while in a nursing home but it is long gone. She continues to have the diarrhea and can t be released from the hospital until the doctors figure it out. She also has colitis (recent) and extremely high platelets (on-going). Thanks.

The given history of diarrhea could be infection and it could be communicable disease may be infection some time it becomes difficulty treat most of the time it requires to know the underlying causative organism here in this case if this is the diarrhea then stool culture sensitivity test may needed.
