What Could Cause A Girl To Suddenly Pass A Large, White, Tennis-ball-sized Mass From Her Vagina With Severe Cramps?
My friend (13 year old female) woke up having really bad cramps, thought they were pre-menstural but thought it was odd because she never gets cramps so she went to the bathroom. She was sitting on the floor and her stomach really hurt and a large white ball came out her vagina. She said it looked like fat off of an animal, and it was the size of a tennis ball. She hasn t had any bad cramps since. She never went to a doctor about it, but told me and i thought it was concerning. Do you have any idea what it could be?
The size (tennis ball) and appearance (white, fatty tissue) are unusual. The large white ball can be indicative of infection, cyst (though rare), or decidual cast. It needs medical evaluation to prevent recurrence. Your friend is advised to get clinically examined by a gynae to ensure no pathology or infection is there. If there is some infection, she needs to get treated. If she has preserved the tissue, she should show it to the gynae and not be hesitant.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
