What Could Cause A Small And Hard Lump On The Right Hip And Sudden Weight Loss?

I have a small, hard lump on my right hip. It seems to have grown in the last six months to about the size of a dime. There is no pain. I did loose over 50 pounds in the last year and think it might be related. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Any lump with significant weight loss should be taken seriously and be seen by a doctor to rule out malignancy by taking a proper history, examining for lymph nodes and running tests like sonogram or CT/MRI plus minus biopsy as if required.

So you need to see your to rule out malignancy although this lump and weight loss could be separate entities.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
