What Could Cause A Sudden Itching At The Inner Elbow?

I went for a walk this afternoon and noticed that my inner elbow had begun to itch. I had a look and was quite alarmed to find a purple/reddish mark, about 3mm across. It looks like the sort of mark you are sometimes left with after you have had a blood test. Just wondered what it might be? Have never had this happen before and I haven't bumped or bruised myself

There can be two possiblities.
1. First- it can be contact dermatitis. This is allergic reaction due to rubbing with some substance .
2. It can be a insect bite
I would recommend you to take atarax tablet for itching. If lesion is increasing in size then show it to skin specialist.
