What Could Cause A Tingling And Creeping Sensation Under The Chin?

hi Over the past few days I have been experiencing a tingling, skin creeping sensation underneath my chin and front of my neck. It is not painful, but it is definetly noticable. I also have a tingling feeling along my left hand and arm. I have not had any recent trauma or accident and I am healthy otherwise. What are some possible causes. I am a 43 year old female. Thanks

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve. The main cause of all these symptoms could be a cervical intervertebral disk protrusion.

For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your doctor for a physical exam, a cervical spine X Ray study and a nerve conduction study.
A cervical spine CT scan or MRI may be necessary to make the right diagnosis.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best wishes, Dr. Aida
