What Could Cause Abnormal, irregular Menstrual Bleed?

I took postinor 2tablets sunday evening, the following monday morning I took extra 2 tablets. I had an early abnormal menstrual period within 21days , 2 weeks after I had another menstrual bleeding. The following month s period is delayed for almost 7 weeks now, an hcg test shows negative for pregnancy. Could this be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy, pls help.

Hello,

This is not concerning for ectopic pregnancy. Delay in and irregularities in the menstrual cycle can occur after using emergency contraception. The cycles will normalize in the next couple of months.

Hope this answers your question
