What Could Cause Burning Sensation And Frequent Urination ?

Hi, My husband and I have been trying to conceive. The date of my last cycle was December 25, 2013. I have a regular 28 day cycle and I am due to get my period today. Separately, I have been experiencing a burning sensation when I pee and have been urinating more frequently than normal. Is it possible that this is an early sign of pregnancy?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The most common cause and most likely diagnosis in your case could be a urinary tract infection. Other symptoms include:
-Frequent urination
-Burning sensation while urinating
-Itching around genitals
-Vaginal discharge
-Feeling of incomplete evacuation of urine
-Lower abdominal or back pain
and a few other symptoms.

I recommend a visit to the doctor for a urine examination and treatment with antibiotics, a urine alkalizer and pain management medication accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
