What Could Cause Delayed Periods With History Of Having Regular Cycles?
Hello I am a 46 year old mother of 4...last child is 7 years old and I am very normal with my cycle. I may have missed calculated with the holidays. However no period has arrived this month and I expected it on the 10th. Any thoughts? I happen to be a registered nurse and work as a Health Coach currently.
Hi, As your age is 46 years, you attained an age which is usually related to peri menopausal time period usual ages between 40-60years. Menopause is the condition of complete cessation of your menstrual period for at least 12 month. a fluctuation or on & off period may be seen in some females. as function of your ovaries are going to be complete cessation , so, level of oestrogen also decreases leading to some symptoms like hot flushes, atrophic vaginitis, osteoporosis, mood swing, skin thinning. As this is a natural phenomenon there is no need for treatment until any symptom occur. But, if you want to confirm the condition consult a gynaecologist. Thank you for consulting HCM.
