What Could Cause Discomfort While Passing Stools?

My 3 year old is waking up screaming saying inside her bum is really sore. The pain is coming and goin every couple of minutes and she thinks she needs a poo but doesnt have one. She has been using the toilet and is doing some poos so can you help with what it might be please

Hai..it could be tenesmus....meaning a pain in the inside of anus with an urge to defecate & usually a symptom of colitis or dysentery. Are there ant blood stains in the stools. I suggest you start giving her zinc supplements & see your Dr for a proper advice on antibiotic. Happy to help anytime. If my answer has helped you...kindly rate it.
