What Could Cause Early Period?

I ve been trying to conceive for a while. I had unprotected sex 2 days before ovulation.I had egg white cervical mucous, & the next day I had the unprotected sex. currently I am about 4-5 days past ovulation. I woke up feeling kinda wet. when i wiped it was brown & watery. then it turned to bright red & now it is dark red/Brown. (sorry if this is tmi) now it is sort of heavy, not like my normal period though.I was not expecting a period. I am supposed to get my period in 10 days & I usually feel when it s coming. do you think it is implantation bleeding or my period has arrived very early?

The bleeding you are describing appears to be Mittelschmerz. It does not appear to be implantation bleeding. Mittelschmerz is some amount of bleeding which may be associated with some pain in the abdomen, mostly on one side on the lower abdomen.

Mittelschmerz indicates that the ovulation (egg release) has taken place. This is the time you should utilize for sexual relations. Anyway, just 2 days before the ovulation, you had sexual intercourse. Sperms are active for 72 hours while the egg has a life of 1 day. So these intercourses might prove to be fruitful for you. Also, if you can have intercourse on the day next to the Mittelschmerz, it might give you conception results.
