What Could Cause Excessive Burping In A Diabetic With Pacemaker?
Hi My mother is 76 and she has diabetes and a pace maker, lately she has been experiencing some excessive burping, not sure why. she has had so many gastroenterology tests, light in the stomach, colonoscopy, medication and still doctors cannot find what s doing this. She even wakes up in the middle of the night burping.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Diabetes or pacemaker do not cause burping. 2. Excess ingestion of air is the main cause fur burping. 3. She should eat slowly, chew well and avoid talking during food intake. If she had associated gas problem, proton pump inhibitors will be helpful if taken on a regular basis. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
