What Could Cause Flutters In Abdomen, Strange Sensation Under Rib Cage Diagnosed Adhesions While Being Overweight?

Not, pregnant. Feels like flutters in abdomen, next to navel. No pain. Not constant. Saw GI dr about a month ago for strange sensation just under rib cage (where gall bladder would be). Had gall bladder removed many years ago. GI dr says adhesions. Am at heaviest weight after 3 children. Starting to loose some weight.

Hi welcome to HCM, thanks for posting your query.
I read your question completely and have understood. We see so many such cases being a surgeon.
Yes. Your GI doctor is right. Post operatively there may be adhesions and it causes some kind of discomfort.
And it is not the same for everyone. For you it may be a flutter, for someone else it may be a mild pain.
So I suggest you few things.
1. Do not worry. All these will be self healing and doesn't need much of the interventions..
2. Adhesions in that area following gall bladder surgery, generally will not pose major problems compared to other intestinal surgeries.

So do not worry.
But after reading the complete description, over weight is one thing which is to be worried.
That is most important thing to get treated for.
Calculate your BMI. If it's more than 30 or so then you need some kind of treatment. Medical or surgical will be decided after you give the complete history.
Hope this helps you, and do get back to me once you need any further help.
Take care..
