Dear sir

Increased diastolic blood pressure will cause delayed coronary circulation. The circulation through the coronary arteries happens through diastole of the heart beat.

Secondly this causes heart to do more work by beating more fast causing increased heart rate and tachycardia.

So this increased tachycardia causes palpitations.

So the best thing to do is to start a betablocker and control hypertension.

Thanks
