What Could Cause Irritability In A 5 Years Old Child?
My 5 yr old daughter is crying easily these days and very irritable. She is also grumpy except when at play. She is worst upon waking in the morning and after playing for more than half and hour. She has more than 10 hours of sleep each night. The doc says she is sleeping poorly cos of enlarged tonsils but I am wondering if she has depression.

Poor sleep in night can present as day time drowsyness and sleepyness in children... It can cause irritability... Get the clinical examination and all necessary tests done for further treatment consult local pediatrician and if needed Ent reference...
