What Could Cause Locking Of Hip?

I was in the shower today and bent down for my shampoo when i straightened up my Hip got locked in place and i couldn t move it for 15 mins in this time it was Extremely sore i also have AVN in my Hip im not in the mood to go in for a Xray it will take too long i rather get your opinion frist,,,

I will advice you to undergo a physical therapy session which will help you to maintain the hip mobility and also the strengthening of the muscles, as in AVN the muscles get weak and this kind of locking occurs to safeguard the hip joint and its a neurological protective mechanism call of the brain.
