What Could Cause Nausea Following A Meal Or Coffee Intake?

Nausea
I've been experiencing nausea in the middle of the night and sometimes after eating. Some times it's severe and other times mild. I noticed after I drank a blended coffee from Starbucks I got really nauseous after wards. The nausea was counteracted by an antacid.

Other times it seems like I get full from a meal quicker as well. This started about 3 to 4 weeks ago when after a meal I got really nauseous. I figured it acid reflux of some sort but I have no idea what to do about it or if it is a temporary problem.

I've had to take it easy on the meals and not drink coffee or alcohol.

Please help!

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Since you have started the problem since 3-4 weeks, it is not a temporary one. Feeling nausea after coffee, food and at night may be due to gastritis one gets after consuming such things or when one is on empty stomach one gets more acid production. This is why you are getting a relief from antacids.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Start a PPI like Omeprazole
Antacid to be taken when you are on empty stomach.
Avoid coffee and all such beverages or foods that instigate or enhance nausea.
Control of stress and anxiety helps further.
If there is no complete relief within a few days take an appointment for upper GI Endoscopy.
I find this answer helpful
