What Could Cause One Persistent Fever?

Hi, I was just wondering..my son is 4 years old for 3 days his fever will goes up and down,his doctor take a dengue test and it s negative,i m still worried what is going on with him,pls. help is my son suffering from viral?how many days viral infections be gone?pls advice.thanks

Viral fever usually lasts for 3 to 4 days.

Detailed answer :
Hi, welcome to HCM.
Your child has fever for 3 days. It could be a viral fever if dengue test is negative, other possibilities are malarial infection, respiratory tract infection.
In my opinion, you should do some tests like malarial antigen test, cbc with platelets.
If your child has some other symptoms like cough, throat pain, then probably the child will need antibiotics.
