What Could Cause Rashes And Nausea After Taking Crisanta For Acne, No Improvement In Acne Either?

Hello. This is my second month of crisanta. I see no improvement in my acne. I have also developed two rashes in face and 1 in neck. I have terrible nausea most times of the week. Is it normal or should I change my pill? I got it from India. I am in canada and have no idea which one is equivalent to this pill here. Please help.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Crisanta contains ethinyl estradiol and drosperinone. Hormonal pills usually show noticeable improvement by 3rd or 4th month of usage. so, it is advisable to continue for now

Mild side effects like Nausea, Dizziness, Vomiting, Headache are common at the start of therapy and usually people stop having them after some time.

I would advice that you take the pill at night rather than day time.

Along with the oral pill you can apply topical anti-acne medicines on the eruptions e.g clindamycin during day time and Benzoyl peroxide at night time.

The rashes if part of the acne process need not to be managed differently.

take care
regards
