What Could Cause Severe Intermittent Pain In The Right Leg Of A 66-year-old?
started having severe, intermittent pain in right upper leg, sometimes while walking the pain suddenly hits and I cannot walk. hurts while sitting, but not as bad. hurts to lift leg, especially when getting dressed. I m in good health, high blood pressure under control, otherwise no issues. I m 66, 5 tall, weigh 139
It seems you are having intermittent claudication due to PAD (peripheral arterial disease). You should undergo ankle:brachial index, or ABI. The ratio of the ankle and brachial artery pressures (termed the ankle:brachial index, or ABI) is 1.00–1.40 in normal individuals. ABI values of 0.91–0.99 are considered “borderline,” and those.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
