What Could Cause Sore Throat, Runny Nose And Recurring Chest Infections?

I m a 59 years old male. I ve been experiencing sore throat followed by runny nose then chest infection on five occasions during the last five weeks. My GP would not prescribe any medications for this but has asked my blood to be checked for body s immune level. I have a balanced diet and fairly fit. What could be the possible cause/s of this?

Hi thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. The cause of recurrent respiratory infection can be in oral cavity or upper respiratory tract. Oral and dental hygiene should be taken. Dental caries and defects should be treated. Sinus infections or recurrent tonsillitis should be dealt with. I advice vitamin c chewable tablets, to keep water in mouth 15 minutes after get up and before going to bed. You should avoid your chest in exposed to cold by wearing adequate clothing. If you are allergic to some things then should avoid that also. Go on with a balanced diet. If you follow this you can resist from recurring respiratory infections. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further queries.
