What Could Cause Stomach Discomfort And Gastritis On Stopping Prolonged Use Of Antacid?

Sir, i m taking one capsule of antacid daily for last 6yrs. currently i m taking Pantocid L for last 9 months.

i m worried about the sideeffects of antacid, whenever i try to skip the capsule, i feel uncomfort throat, and gas by the evening,

is there any remedy? can i ever get rid of these capsules?

i have also undergone endoscopy and dignosed infection H Phylory. what is it?

From the available description it appears that you are suffering from peptic ulcer disease due to H. Pylori. You need to take a course of antibiotic for H pylori to get rid of these medicines. The course lasts generally one to two weeks and it is easy to tolerate. Once you confirm eradication of H.pylori you can discontinue your pentoprzole in consultation with your doctor.
