Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My left forehand is swollen for the last couple of years. this swlling increases and moves to the palm & fingers when i lift any weight or play/walk/run.. the swelling in the palm and fingers used to disappear after few days.. But, nowadays it is not disappearing. i have shown to several docotors earlier and advised for blood test etc.. but there was nothing positive in the blood tests. One of the plastic surgeon suggested to wear a custom made cloves/wrap for the entire left arm. But, when i started wearing there is no change in the swelling and some time the swelling increased. So,i discarded using them.. pls note both my hands broken during my childhood(5-6 yrs) but i use my hands as normal so far..(though they look slightly thin) what could be the reason for this swelling. sometimes it gives pain/ache to my entire left hand/side.

What Could Cause Swollen Forehand?
Hello, Consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. A detailed evaluation is required to find out the exact cause. We have to rule out possible causes like vascular causes and compartment syndrome. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
