What Could Cause Swollen Lymph Nodes, Extreme Fatigue, Headache, Low Appetite And Weight Loss In A 71-year-old?

I am 72 male, type 2 diabetes, have barely been able to get out of bed for 3 weeks. Swollen lymph nodes in neck, extreme fatigue, headache from hell, freezing, sweating, legs tend to give out, I have to force myself to eat. Lost a lot of weight. Have been to the er twice and MRI and CT were normal. My neck feels like it is sprung.

Hi,

One of the more common causes for your symptoms would be a viral infection. This means that in addition to the imaging studies, you would need a host of blood tests such as complete blood count, ESR (checks for inflammation in the body), electrolyte levels.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
