What Could Cause Tender To Touch Public Bone And Sore Leg In A Child?
My 7 year old son was complaining about a sore leg, the top of his leg where it joins his torso, we took him to the doctor and xrays were taken these show nothing. Today my son tells me it hurts after he urinates so he has to bend forward, his pubic bone is tender to touch all of the time. Earlier in the week he was struggling to walk, he is now walking ok. He has done a lot more exercise of late so we initially thought it was a muscle strain but no longer think this is the case.

Discomfort on urination along with tenderness on pubic area suggests UTI
(urinary tract infection),which can be treated with antibiotics like cefixime along with simple analgesics for a few days.Anyhow,we have to rule out conditions like appendicitis also.Your doctor will guide in this.
Meanwhile,take plenty of oral fluids,and a light diet.
The sore leg may not be related to this,and it is difficult to comment on that without a direct physical examination.
