What Could Dizziness And Headache After Suffering A Bloody Head Injury Indicate?

I banged my head on the weekend and there was quite a lot of blood. I was unconscious for a short period of time. I was taken to the hospital and was only seen by a nurse who sent me home. I am now getting dizziness and headaches. Should I be worried or is this normal?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Many times a minor head injury or concussion is followed by post concussion syndrome which consists of mild headache, dizziness, fatigue and irritability lasting for few weeks to 3 months. At present you have headache and dizziness, so i would advise you:
1.     To take enough sleep
2.     To take oral nonopioid analgesic like ibuprofen(400mg) for pain (Consult your physician for prescription)
3.     Avoid noisy atmosphere and bright light (Direct sunlight or bright screen of mobile or laptop)
4.     Visit nearby emergency department if you develop any of these: Persistent vomiting, Unconsciousness, Seizures, Weakness on one or both side of body and Severe Headache
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
