What Could Dizziness In Children With Fever Suggest?

I have a 9 year old son that has been complaining of dizziness when he gets up and is moving he was running 102 fever at 4 this morning which I gotdown finally about 9. He seems fine as long as he is laying or sitting. He is pale and his head hurts when the dizziness starts. Any ideas?

Hi,

By what you say he may be going through a viral illness in which dizziness is very common.

But if the dizziness after standing is persisting even after the fever is getting better then you need to consider postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
