What Could Explain Redness And Blotches Near Eyes During Pregnancy?

blotchiness / redness around my wife s eyes - she is now 6 weeks pregnant My wife is having our 2nd child. She is 35, Caucasian, in good health, 5 7 and 165 lbs. She is 6 weeks pregnant and we haven t yet been to the initial visit that occurs at the 8 week point. She didn t have the blotchiness until today. She is feeling bloated, her breasts are painful as they feel like they are swelling.

Hello sir and welcome.

The changes are usually due to a hormonal surge, but at times inflammation/swelling can be related to blood pressure and so it would be advisable to check her blood pressure, urine protein and a complete physical evaluation.
