What Could Have Been The Causes For Late Miscarriages?
Hello am girl of 25yrs,I've had 2 late miscarriages! The first was 22 weeks, second pregnant being twin preg was put under cervical ceclage but during 19weeks the water leaked! Stayed in the hosp for 2 weeks then blood started ,, need to know what could have been the possible reason for the loss?and what do I have to consider next time so that the pregnancy can go to full term?plz help me
The likely cause is cervical incompetence which is the reason that your doctors would have applied the suture in the second pregnancy.
You would need to have another stitch placed at the end of your first trimester. This would be done after the doctor assesses the baby by ultrasound for any problems.
There are two techniques for placing the suture but they are both effective.
The use of progesterone supplementation in addition to the suture is also an option. This may increase the chance of success
I hope this helps
