General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Genital lesions in sexually active patients may be due to sexually transmitted diseases and genital warts are very likely if they feel like bumps.
It is important that you and your boyfriend get tested for sexually transmitted diseases. If genital warts are present then you will need regular pap smears to monitor for any changes in the cervical mucosa.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
