If you actually saw the spider and are sure you should take your daughter to the pediatrician esp. if you donot identify the type of spider or if it was a black widow or brown recluse spider. These two spider bites can cause other dangerous reactions in the body and need to be identified sooner. If you didnot see the spider and are unsure if it actually was a spider bite, then it may be an infection of the skin like an abscess developing which also needs to be taken care by antibiotics. Till then, you should wash and clean the area with soap and water, apply cool compress and elevate the arm or leg where the bite occurred, give her tylenol or acetaminophen for pain relief and take her to her pediatrician soon for evaluation.
