What Could High CRP And Albumin Count In Urine Suggest?
My 7 year daughter had fever ~ 1 week back which remained for couple of days and was given general medicine, after 1 week she again developed fever and doc suggested urine test, blood test for maleria, dengu and CRP. The maleria and dengu is negative, but CRP count is high 25 and urine test shows albumin as present(+) (no pus cells or no RBC either). Her fever is subsided now again. She is on Cefuroxime for 5 days and doc suggested to repeat urin test ... what could be the problem ? ... can albumin in urine stop to leak after treatment ?
The problem can be a generalized viral infection. In the case of inflammation, albumin can appear in urine transiently for some days.
CRP can be raised in viral infection or any inflammation case. So you can complete the course of prescribed antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drug.
The doctor suggested urine report after five days just to exclude urinary tract infection and albumin might disappear in that time.
