What Could Infarct In Superior Temporal Lobe In The Report Suggest?

hello please decode ref: 64 year old male, ct scan, bilateral periventricular and deep white matter small vessel ischaemic changes are noted. no evidence of acute intercranial haemorrage,extra-axial collection or a space occuying lesion. No mass- effector midline shift. A small established infarct is seen in the region of the right superior temporal lobe. Normal sinuses,mastoids, sella and orbits. Thank you.

1.That means there is a block in the blood vessels supplying to the superior temporal lobe.
2.This is seen in case of blood pathology, atherosclerotic plaque, thrombus - causes block / cessation of the blood supply.
3.Periventricular deep white matter ischaemic changes are age related changes seen in the brain scan due to narrowing of the vessels as age.
4.Rest all what your reports are negative - normal findings.
5.Thrombolysis is treatment of choice, and treat the underlying medical conditions lie hypertension / diabetes.
