What Could It Be If I Had Raised Bumps/rashes On Face Oozing Liquid And Spreading Rapidly?
My diabetic brother is suffering from raised bumps/rashes across his face that seem to be spreading rapidly. They sometimes ooze, and he now has a tiny blister-like sac filled with liquid on his face. He has suffered from this for a few months now, and it is now more concerning as I am starting to get the same symptoms. My brother has seen a GP who has said she cannot see anything (when it was less noticeable, as it fluctuates). She gave him duac cream for his face. We went to another doctor today, who did a blood test and could not see any infections or any problems with his liver in the results. We have not seen a dermatologist yet, as it is the holidays. What do you think this could be?
Your brother seem to be having multiple pyodermic lesions over the face. See such lesions tend to be quite common especiallyin diabetics with poorly controlled sugar levels. These lesions need lo be treated properly with proper antibiotics. A pus culture from the lesions can be taken to guide regarding the antibiotics to be used. The most essential part of treatment is the control of elevated sugar levels for which he should see a physician.
