What Could It Be If I Had Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse And Felt Like Touching A Laceration Over The Skin?
Hi, Last month I had sex after about 20 months and at the beginning I started having vaginal bleeding. It was painful and took about 5-10 minutes to stop and the blood was bright. I stopped and let myself to get better. Last night I had the same experience but not that much pain and I know the source of bleeding is somewhere in the anterior wall of my vagina and close to the vulva. I'm sure I don't have any infection. when I try to examine myself, I don't feel any elevated area like a polyp. I feel the area is lacerated and it feels like touching a laceration over the skin.
I am so sorry to hearing about this bleeding after intercourse. Given the fact that you haven't had intercourse I a while, a laceration could be the most probable cause. However, we cannot assume it to be so and not investigate for other possible causes of vaginal bleeding. For this reason, I will suggest that you get consulted by your OBGYN for evaluation of all possible causes for appropriate management.
