What Could It Be If A 77 Yr Old Is Having Rolling Sensation In Right Rib Cage Since Lifting A Heavy Thing Few Months Back?
I m 77, female and healthy. I lifted something huge several months back and then began having pain in my right rib cage. It feels like a roll of something moving from several ribs upward to the lower rib. It particularly does this rolling when I go from sitting to standing. What does this sound like?
Though is it quite difficult to tell without investigating, but there's a chance that you might have developed a hiatus hernia.
The lower end of esophagus along with the upper part of the stomach roll into the chest in this condition . Are you having associated symptoms like chest pain, food regurgitation? I'd suggest you to visit your treating doctor and get examined and investigated once.
Hope this information helps. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts.
With warm regards, Dr. Sridhar Reddy
