What Could Lead To Brown Discharge While Not Menstruating?

I am 23 years old with 2 kids. I was on my period for 21 days, normally a 4-5 day thing. I thought I was off my period but now it s like brown blood. Just a little on my underwear but mostly when I wipe. No chances of being pregnant. No birth control..

Sometimes, slight hormone imbalances can lead to such intermittent menstruation or breakthrough bleeding. Old clotted blood can discharge in the manner described. If there is no chance of pregnancy, you need to exclude local causes like erosions, polyps, infections and hormone imbalances as the reasons behind. Please maintain a healthy weight, proper diet and regular exercise. If no specific cause is found, observation is the best way to see if self-correction occurs. Hope this helps.
