What Could On And Off Itching Starting From Feet Spreading Up The Body Indicate?

hi, sometimes i start to itch during the day. it usually starts with the top of my feet. it gets very very intense. it also occurs on my shins, knees, elbow and near my shoulders. it even occurs at my back. what really gets me is that there are no bumps bruises rashes or anything like that. it just starts from nowhere and once its triggered it spreads through my body usually from the feet up. i have been told i dont drink enough water and have slightly dry skin but this itchiness just came out of nowhere. i dont have any pets or anything. i usually apply some moisturizer and helps but only for a small while.

The possibilities in your case are generalised xero sis ( dry skin) , atopic dermatitis ( allergic skin disorder associated with childhood asthma and nose allergies either in self or family) , drug induced pruritus( including herbal supplements, green tea, etc) and itching related to internal disorders. These include anemia , thyroid abnormalities, liver and renal disorders.
The treatment can be given after a detailed evaluation including blood tests and after coming to a confirmative diagnosis.
