What Could Pain In Right Side Of Back Post Partial Nephrectomy Indicate?

I have pain in the right side of my back. I have had a partial nepherectomy of the left kidney years ago therefor I know it is in that area only on the right side. I am having trouble taking deeper breaths seems I have to lay with a pillow under or stay in bed .Could it be my right kidney now ? Blood was found in the urine a few months back and I am still getting that same rusty colour but Dr. is now gone I don,t see one until the 19th she is new in new province. or something minor ? Sorry Dr. I live on 100. a month I have nothing thought this was a free question. Very sorry for your time. I should have checked out the page better.

Hello,

The pain involving right side of back, rusty color blood in urine indicates possible urinary tract infection affecting right kidney as hydronephrosis, pyelonephritis or others. In my clinic, I do recommend:
- Urine microscopy
- Urine culture and sensitivity
- Ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis
- Intravenous or oral antibiotics as per the culture sensitivity report
- Maintenance of hydration via oral fluids or intravenous drip as per the clinical parameters
