What Could Prominent Veins On Tongue With Sores Indicate?
i have purple veins towards the back of my tongue that only appear when i use my tongue. I was wondering if it had to do with poor circulation of my blood or if it was serious. Also, i am pretty sure that my girlfirend accidently gave me a yeast infection of the mouth, maybe it had to do with that? because there are also sores that are toward the very back of my tongue. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of prominent veins on tongue with sores which seems to be due to transient lingual Papillitis which occur due to various reasons like stress , hormonal changes or acidic and spicy food and it could be due to food allergy. I would suggest you to
- Do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day. - Apply small amount of milk of magnesia. - For pain and if you also have fever Tylenol can be taken. - Maintain good oral hygiene and drink plenty of water.
If condition doesn't get better in few days then consult oral pathologist for proper checkup and rule out condition like herpes or canker sore. Doctor may prescribe proper course of antibiotics/antiviral medications along with multivitamin.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
