Hello,
Since you are taking
Allopurinol ideally uric acid levels in the blood should not increase. But as your blood pressure is on a slightly higher side, get blood tests done to check your uric acid levels. Elevated uric acid level cause BP to get raised.
Avoid red meat at all cost (it may trigger cardiac or gout issues), if you can't resist cut on the amount you take.
Hypertension leads to stroke, coronary artery disease, Kidney disease,
vision loss, etc.
Make lifestyle changes, take herbal & nutritional supplements, avoid alcohol or addiction if any. Take avocados, nuts, omega oils & olive oils. Cut on excessive salt intake.
Since you are having
shortness of breath, maintain weight as per BMI. Stay away from extremes of physical or emotional stress.
Take adequate sleep, stay well hydrated. Regular exercise, walking. Consult a therapist for
relaxation techniques.
Random heart beats with shortness of breath may be indicative of developing
cardiovascular disease. To stay on the safer side get physically examined by a cardiologist, get urine & blood tests, stress tests, ECG,
Echocardiography, it needed Holter done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
