What Could Red, Dark Circles Around Eyes With History Of Having Duplex Kidney In Childhood Mean?
my 10 year old son was diagnosed with duplex kidney as a baby - he had the dye test, and he was put on trimethroprim as a small child which i stopped giving to him. he has had no problems, but sometimes he gets very red dark circles around his eyes and is sometimes very pale. i just wanted to find out as much as i can about it so i can look out for signs of potential problems
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. Dark circles around the eyes might be a indirect marker for underlying allergy or atopy. regarding your kid's initial problem duplex kidney doesn't warrant regular preventive antibiotics unless it is associated with bulging ureters and reflux...that too in this age group its not indicated. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
